[UPDATE] Power Outages in Downtown Tucson

Update - This just in from Downtown Tucson Partnership:

I have a little more info on the power outage. It's only west of Stone Avenue. Downtown businesses are open east of Stone. Downtown is still accessible via Congress east of 6th Ave and Broadway, and people who want to access downtown can avoid all of the outages by parking at Centro Garage or Pennington Street Garage.

We'll keep you updated as we learn more.


This just came in from Tucson Police:

Traffic Alert: We advise motorists to avoid travel to the Downtown area if at all possible. There are power outages and no estimated time frame for the power to be restored at this time. TEP is on the way to assess and address the problem.

So if you can help it, stay out of downtown. We'll try to update you as soon as something comes in.
