John McCain Wants to Shoot Down the Next North Korean Test Missile

This was washed over due to most of the day's events, but it's worth paying attention to: Arizona's own Sen. John McCain stated that he believes the United States should take down the next test missile that North Korea launches, as soon as it leaves their airspace.

From the Senator's office:

As the world waits to see whether North Korea will act on its threat to test launch a medium-range ballistic missile, I maintain that the United States should treat any North Korean missile launch as a threat to our national security and our allies, and that we should shoot it down once it leaves North Korean airspace. North Korea’s leaders should have no doubt that the United States of America has both the capability and the will to eliminate the threats they seek to pose to international peace and stability.

As anyone who is paying attention would note, McCain has held a hard-line position against North Korea, saying that Kim Jong Un is "a clown" and "a fool"; that China needs to buckle North Korea's economy if Kim continues to develop the country's nuclear program; and was quoted after Kim Jong Il's death, "I can only express satisfaction that the Dear Leader is joining the likes of Gaddafi, Bin Laden, Hitler, and Stalin in a warm corner of hell."
