The Classical, a sports site seemingly designed to make you feel simultaneously uncool and stupid (strangely, I sort of mean that as a compliment), has determined that this week is Kenny Lofton Week, for reasons I can't quite discern. However, as Mr. Lofton is a former Wildcat, PCL-championship winning Tucson Toro and a member of the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame (although not a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame quite yet, since the institution didn't manage to elect anyone this year; Lofton received 18 votes), I guess it makes sense that someone would honor the guy. Of particular interest to Tucsonans, Adam Doster's piece on Lofton's "Wild About the Cats" years.
