Those Mystical, Magical Three TUSD Seats: Kristel, Stegeman and Juarez

Posted By on Thu, Nov 8, 2012 at 9:35 AM

According to the Pima County Elections Department results page, updated around 3:50 p.m. yesterday, these are the current results in the Tucson Unified School Board elections:

BAKARI, MENELIK 5,470 2.15%
CAMPOS-FLEENOR, DEBE 22,710 8.93%
COTTON, DON 20,269 7.97%
CUEVAS, MIGUEL 23,388 9.20%
ELLINWOOD, RALPH E. 17,873 7.03%
FOSTER, KRISTEL ANN 33,197 13.05%
HUNNICUTT, JOHN A. 23,233 9.14%
JUAREZ, CAM S. 25,706 10.11%
MEDLER, ROBERT 12,165 4.78%
PUTNAM-HIDALGO, BETT 20,016 7.87%
STEGEMAN, MARK 32,637 12.83%
SUGIYAMA, ALEXANDRE 16,587 6.52%
Write-in 1,035 0.41%

Although Pima County is still in the midst of counting 80,000 ballots, with about 20,000 of those being provisional, it's doubtful that much will change in the percentages. What a crazy ride this has been — 12 candidates, including three incumbents. It will be interesting to look look at the precinct counts that go with this race. We'll have updated numbers later today.
