Invisible Flake: Senate Candidate Skips Tucson, Still Gets Room

Posted By on Tue, Nov 6, 2012 at 7:39 PM

It's no surprise that Jeff Flake isn't spending Election Night in Tucson. But that doesn't mean the senatorial candidate didn't want to make sure he was thankful for those stumping for him in Southern Arizona. So much so he secured an entire poolside ballroom at the Tucson Sheraton.

The Oasis Room has about 20 or 30 Flake supporters noshing on snacks and appetizers while TVs blare from the corners. A Flake rep said the candidate couldn't make it down personally, but he did call in to the gathering earlier in the evening.
