Herreras: Checking In From GOP Headquarters

Posted By on Tue, Nov 6, 2012 at 8:13 PM

So, the Weekly World Central crew is having major internet problems. But here's life so far at the GOP fiesta: Gabby Saucedo Mercer is here, and is expected to speak any minute. Downstairs, as Pedersen reported, Jeff Flake has a party going on, so the flow is going up and down here at Sheraton GOP Central.

Tucson Unified School District governing board member Mark Stegeman was downstairs having some of the Flake food. I said hello and asked how the food was. Stegeman said it's just normal hotel food. Stegeman is a registered Democrat, whose mostly gotten digs from Pima County Democratic Party Chair Jeff Rogers, but plenty of love from those in Drinking Liberally. He's also gotten help from John and Loretta Hunnicutt and spoken with John at a GOP luncheon about their races and is listed on the GOP website.

Still waiting for more candidates to show up ... and the internlets are here. Expect more from us as soon as the Arizona Secretary of State figures go up.

Hey, Frank Antenori is in the house, and is speaking now. More on that later.
