Debunking Arpaio's Birther Nonsense

Posted by on Thu, Jul 19, 2012 at 8:00 AM

KGUN-9's Marcelino Benito calls local Republicans to get reaction about Sheriff Joe's latest birth-certificate nonsense:

That's exactly what 9OYS found when reporter Marcelino Benito tried getting answers from GOP leaders. Few called back and the ones that did skirted around the issue. Pima County Sheriff candidate Mark Napier tells 9OYS, "Joe is very tenacious, but the issue has been put to bed." GOP committeeman Bruce Ash says, "the economy is the party's focus."

"Quite frankly it's just stupid," said Republican city councilman Steve Kozachik.

The gang at the The Fogbow have done extensive debunking of the Sheriff Joe's latest "investigation":

Once again, TheFogbow.com has examined the press releases, the claims, and the press conference and concludes that:

Leftover hash is once again recycled,
We know a heck of a lot more about statistics, coding, and research than the Cold Case Posse does,
Hawaii is NOT a hotbed of gaping loopholes for illegal immigrants to crawl through to citizenship,
No one in Hawaii wanted to play in the CCP sandbox, and
Mike Zullo needs a good tax attorney.
