The National Republican Congressional Committee must have faith in Republican Jesse Kelly, who is facing Democrat Ron Barber in the June 12 special election to complete Gabrielle Giffords' congressional term. The Hill reports that the NRCC has doubled its ad buy to $600,000:

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is upping the $300,000 they've already spent on the air in Arizona to $600,000, a source with knowledge of the decision told The Hill. The NRCC's ads target Ron Barber, a former Giffords staffer and the Democratic nominee to finish her term.
The decision to drop another $300,000 on ads came on the heels of the House Majority PAC announcing it would be spending $340,000 on Barber's behalf. That ad, which will target Kelly, will debut tomorrow.
