You Need Tropical Remixes of 90's Urban Hits

Posted By on Wed, Apr 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM

It's coming up on the half of the year we just give up and call "summertime" here in Tucson, so it's time to get your poolside soundtrack ready (or in my case, try to figure out what organism has taken over my pool and discover a plan of action to destroy it, then come up with a soundtrack). Here are two remixes you might want to work in from San Francisco musician Viceroy (appropriately, his webpage has the tagline "Summertime. All the time."), both late 90's radio jams recast as sunny, tropical pop hits. I think most people should avoid trying to alter the perfection that is "Return of the Mack," but Viceroy manages to mix things up without tampering with the pure beauty of the track.
