Tucson Mall Security Guard Needs Some Holiday Cheer

Posted by Mari Herreras on Tue, Dec 20, 2011 at 4:03 PM

Hat tip to music photographer Elliott for sharing this video of Tucson band Roll Acosta's holiday adventure at Tucson Mall. The trio set out to video themselves singing that wonderful heart-warming carol "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." Well, the obvious exception is the security guard and people who don't like wandering minstrels in holiday sweaters.

Seriously folks. Couldn't you just ask them to take the sweaters off? Geesh.

The cop probably is also a mall Santa. What a jerk.

What a douchebag. Nothing like a fat rent-a-cop bedecked in fake badges to think he's still a man.

I hope all the stores in the Mall take notice of this moron wanabe whatever! I will not be shopping at the mall this season due to the way this old Jack A** handled the situation. He should be placed in a position where he does not have to interact him people.

I called and Security referred me to Mall Management. Person I talked with did not know about this but said that they schedule all "performances" and that without doing so you are a liability to them. I thanked her for her explanation and told her that I would not be shopping in that mall because I thought people just walking through the mall and singing Holiday songs was a GOOD thing, not a BAD thing!!

Please don't boycott all the businesses that participated even if they are in Tucson Mall. They seemed to have their holiday spirit in the right place.

Hi guys! Roll Acosta here - thank you all so much for the support. The mall is private property, so of course they were well within their rights to escort us out. That said, we're glad you're also calling in to express your distaste for that policy. However, we strongly urge everyone not to boycott the stores that were involved in the video. Build a Bear Workshop, Ulta, Sears, Animal Kingdom and Bath and Body Works were all really cool in the filming of this video. As you can see at 1 minute into the video, even the Sears makeup attendant got in on the fun. You can follow us at https://www.facebook.com/rollacostamusic for any more information or to let us know your own thoughts and feelings on this whole thing. But more than anything, Happy Holidays!

Lawyers, insurance companies, and impotent hired thugs. It's how we roll.

If I owned a business there, I'd complain to mall management, long and loud.
