Good News/Bad News From the Black Eyed Peas

It's almost certainly a victory for music and Western culture that the Black Eyed Peas are going to enter an "indefinite hiatus" soon, but it's almost worse. Instead of containing the aesthetic crimes of the group's member into one endeavor, they'll be spreading out, likely releasing more music.

However, a theory that makes me feel better: Wildly derivative lowest common denominator music like that of the Black Eyed Peas provides a balance to the universe, allowing for more creative, innovative music to exist. It's just a theory.
