Prepare to Have Smooth 80's Sax Stuck in Your Head

Posted By on Mon, May 2, 2011 at 4:30 PM

It seems a little unfair to drop a Sonny Rollins sax solo, even if it's far from his finest work, into a list with David Sanborn (although his work on David Bowie's "Young Americans" is pretty great) and the guy who played sax for Duran Duran, but I'm hardly an expert on the instrument and it's uses in 80's pop and rock songs, so here are the top ten sax solos from the 80's according to YouTube poster "Dangoist". They just don't make music like this anymore, which is a damn shame.
