The Morning After: Artists for Action Voter Registration Concert

Last night's free Artists for Action Voter Registration Concert and Rally at the Marquee Theatre in Phoenix featured local acts including Calexico, Sergio Mendoza y la Orkesta, Salvador Duran and Miniature Tigers. The 1,500 people that showed up signed pledges to vote Nov. 2 and new voters registered at the door before jamming out.

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry Goddard made a surprise appearance on the stage. Hear his get out the vote speech here -

Always a trooper, Salvador Duran played three sets last night - jumping in with Calexico and Sergio Mendoza Y La Orkesta besides running his own stage. Here's what it sounded like outside -

Calexico headlined the show with a rotating cast of characters and closed it out with a Tucson favorite, Guero Canelo -
