Rasmussen: Seven in 10 Arizonans Support SB 1070

Posted by Jim Nintzel on Thu, May 20, 2010 at 11:51 AM

A new Rasmussen survey shows that support for Arizona's new immigration law is growing:

Arizona voters now support the state’s new immigration law more than ever and are still more inclined to think the law will be good for the state’s economy rather than bad. A lot of voters in the state are thinking it’s payback time, too, to those cities or states that boycott Arizona.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Arizona finds that 71% now favor the immigration law, while 24% oppose it.

Despite boycotts by Los Angeles and Boston and threats from other cities, states and organizations, 47% of voters in Arizona think the new immigration law will be good for the state’s economy, up three points from late April. Thirty-five percent (35%) say it will be bad for the state, and another nine percent (9%) say it will have no impact.

We'd like to see some other firms do some numbers on this one.

You can't believe Rasmussen polls. They tilt to the right on all issues.

The state tilts to the right on all issues. There is no reason to think that the good people of Maricopa County didn't elect exactly the legislature they wanted.

Actually, Arizona isn't really threatening to do any such thing.

The Mexican drug war has caused over 22,000 casualties south of the Arizona border - more than US casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Arizona is the favored entry point for drug distribution by the Mexican mafia and is therefore another front in the drug war. There are over 11 million illegal immigrants (also from the southern border) living within US borders like a giant Fifth Column - a population larger than the population of Los Angeles or larger than the populations of Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver and Salt Lake City combined. AZ Congressman Raul Grijalva is not merely a mindless coward - he is also a traitor to American interests and the interests of his own fellow Statesmen who seeks to advance the interests of Hispanics against those of European Americans. The is not just class war it is kulturkampf.
