Politics Palin to Arizona's Rescue!

Gov. Jan Brewer has rolled out her solution to the calls to boycott Arizona over SB 1070, the new immigration law that has become a national controversy: A Web site featuring Sarah Palin!
Yeah, that'll work. Because the people who are talking about boycotting Arizona are such fans of Palin.
Look, we get that Palin is popular with the Tea Party crowd. But one look at where her favorability rating is these days will tell you that she's a polarizing political figure who isn't likely to quell concerns about SB 1070.
We do think that having Sarah posing next to Jan will probably help Jan in this year's GOP primary.

It will take a hell of a lot more then Palin to help Brewer. These polls do not reflect people of color at all so whatever your polls read u can add a negative for all of black,brown & yellow Americans, whom will all be subjected to being profiled by these racist bigots

If there's any lesson to be learned from Arizona's apparently waning Arpaio era, it's that someone in insufficient grasp of the principles of civil rights is usually weakly grounded in economic principles too, and because the fuel of politics is money, the latter trumps the former in the end.
If Palin herself could somehow run for Governor of Arizona, she'd perform similarly to—and probably outperform—Brewer. She'd still lose, however. Arizona's November elections will be about many things, but looming largest by far is the dire state of the state's economy.
Well, Jim Nintzel, Red Star wonders when valid Arizona poll numbers will come from Hispanics/Latinos...
Why is it taking so long?
This immigration law is making Hispanics and other brown colored people VERY nervous. How do you think they are going to vote? Probably for the ones who care about constitutional rights (not the GOP). There are also over 200,000 hotel employees who are scared to death they may lose their jobs. And how do you suppose they will vote?
Don't visit, cus we don't want or need any more stupidity than the A-ho libs that invaded this beautiful state from California .
The people arguing for boycotting AZ would do everyone a great favor if they would stop to think about the consequences. Hurting AZ's hotel and restaurant business will disproportionatly hurt the very people they are protesting for.
Dana - the answer to your question is that the lawmakers who passed this bill don't think Latinos are going to vote. The Latino population in this state won't have any political respect until they turn up at the polls.
I for one am hoping this is the catalyst for the Tucson Latino community to really get engaged.
