Republican Terri Proud, who is running for a Legislative District 26 House seat, is getting attention in right-wing circles with a new campaign ad on YouTube featuring guns and the girls who love them.

Oh dear lord, help us. "Who's your daddy?" Thankfully I am a LD26 voter, and I will make sure I show all my "intellectual" friends this nonsense. She has less traction than Wade McLean, who JUST announced running for the House as a Republican. And as a former Marana Superintendent, I am certain he will run on an "intellectual" platform. Is this chick for real?!?!?
This video is offensive. Not because of the guns imagery, but because this person is running for office in a state with more pro-gun laws than any place else in the US.
We have problems with our economy. Our schools. Our parks. Our water situation. Not to be a big drag here, but what we don't need is another one-trick ideologue and pictures of guns on the Bible (?!).
I can't believe that the Republicans in her district are even taking her seriously. Makes me want to run out and become a Democrat.
I find it very interesting that the two people who have commented seem to completely miss the point of the video. This video is talking about what happens to women in a gunless society and how women are the first to be victimized when guns are taken away. Parent X if you don't like the gun laws of this state I suggest you move to a less gun friendly state such as California or Massachusetts. That is one of the great things about our country, if you don't like one state's laws you can move to another one. I, for one, am very grateful that Terri is running and if you knew her and her platform at all you would know that she is knows that there is a problem with our economy and has some great ideas on how to fix them. But you didn't bother to do your research. If you had you would know that Terri is not a "one-trick ideologue", but you aren't actually interested in the truth. And if this makes you want to become a Democrat, then Parent X, you are already one.
Way to go lizbeth, what else in new? People making judegments without knowledge.....seems to be the theme song these days. How about "read the bill" or check out the web site before you post. Yikes.....
I was sent this link to view and found it to be very well done and thoughtful. those who seem to have an issue with the video apparently don't see beyond the "scary guns"? what Ms. Proud is speaking to is our seceond amendment rights and in particular how women will be affected IF the ultra liberals are ever succesful in squashing those right in this and other states? as the poster "lizbeth" said, there are several anti-gun states one can move to IF one finds them so offensive and terrible, though stats will show the criminals will still always have them in spads, as we see in Chicago, one of the strictest anti-gunner places. as for me I choose never to live in a state where my second amendment rights are not upheld and valued. it is our second amendment gun rights which stand to gaurentee our first amendment rights, as well as all the other rights we hold dear in this country. I am quite sure also that "parent x" as "lizbeth" pointed out, is most likely already a flaming Democrat!!!
