Democrat Dave Bradley for Arizona Corporation Commission

Genial state Rep. Dave Bradley wants to run for the Arizona Corporation Commission. Az Blue Meanie has the scoop.

How does a background in child welfare qualify someone to hold an office in the Corporation Commission? Of course, it doesn't!

I think you'll find that many people don't have a good background for the jobs they are elected to. Unfortunately (and increasingly), the skills required to win an election often don't correspond to the skills required to manage sectors of government.

Agreed. And people don't tend to notice this type of mismatch until something happens say like the Hurricane Katrina disaster and then you notice when someone like "Brownie" who had no business being the FEMA director with his background either, costs people their lives. Personally, I would be really worried about someone like Bradley with his background being in charge of the Corporation Commission. Utilities might be a prime target for terrorists, do we really want this guy in charge of decisions surrounding our utilities?
