Buzzing Activity at the Polls

Posted by Jim Nintzel on Tue, Nov 3, 2009 at 2:30 PM

Let me preface this by saying it's all anecdotal and the real data will come when they count the votes tonight. And tomorrow, and the day after, as early ballots come in late.

Earlier today, I mentioned that one of our eastside spies had seen a lot of people hitting the polls and expressing an anti-incumbent sentiment.

I just drove by four central-city polls to cast a ballot and inquire about turnout. Three of the four said that they'd seen steady turnout; the fourth said it was better than primary day, when only nine people turned up to vote, but they had yet to break 100. They added that a lot of people had dropped off early ballots.

I asked one guy if he was liked the Democrats or the Republicans as he was leaving the polling place today. He said he wished he could vote for "none of the above."
